With the completion of the caregiver/everyday companion module, you should be able to master the professional entry into this field of activity. Theoretical teaching & learning phase

The caregiver/everyday companion module consists of a two-part teaching and learning phase. Here you will be taught professional qualifications on the one hand and important basic skills on the other. As an everyday companion/carer, you should be informed about gerontopsychiatric diseases and know how to deal with people who have these symptoms. The well-being of the patient is the top priority. For this reason, in our further training you will learn all the relevant knowledge to ensure more joie de vivre. Company learning phase/internship

The modular training to become a caregiver/everyday companion provides for the theoretical teaching and learning phase to be followed by an operational application phase. This is an employer internship that lasts 10 weeks. This measure for vocational training is therefore completed after a maximum of 20 weeks and you can enter professional life with the degree of everyday companion/carer according to §§ 43b, 53b SGB XI. The professional learning phase gives you the opportunity to gain initial experience and test your own skills in a practical context even before you start your career.
