Furthermore, you benefit from an effective combination of practice-oriented application and theoretical knowledge. At the same time, you will be intensively prepared for the IHK intermediate examination, which takes place after 12 to 14 months of retraining. This gives you the best opportunity to both repeat and consolidate topics from the theoretical training phase.”

Depending on how your personal interests and professional goals develop, you have from the 14th month the opportunity to complete an additional qualification or specialization as a technical/commercial assistant in a specific area of ​​the health care system. For optimal preparation for starting your career, the content is employer-related and individually tailored to you. Additional training courses are held here in relevant economic areas of the health care system. You can focus your qualification as a specialist/commercial assistant on the areas of marketing and sales, internet trading, personnel services, purchasing and logistics, accounting and payroll accounting. If your performance allows, you also have the opportunity to undertake additional training and preparation for the specialist examination. The corresponding alternative is an examination subject-related support and development training in small groups. Here you will be supported individually, if necessary also on a case-by-case basis.

Internship

The Central German Institute offers you the opportunity to complete an internship as part of the retraining to become a clerk in the healthcare sector. How is the final exam and exam preparation for the retraining as a clerk in the healthcare system structured?

In order for you to successfully complete this retraining course, we prepare you as well as possible for both the intermediate and the final exam. As already explained in the previous sections, content relevant to the examination is taught in the first ten months of the training measure. After a year of retraining, you will be prepared in detail for the written intermediate examination as part of the dual training, which is scheduled after around 18 months of training. Once you have passed these successfully, nothing stands in the way of your important final exam. Unlike the intermediate exam, this is completed over a total of three days. On the first day you will be tested in writing for 120 minutes in the areas of business and performance processes in healthcare facilities. On the second day, you will take two more written exams on the subjects of economics and social studies (60 minutes exam) and healthcare (90 minutes exam). The oral part of the final exam takes place on the third day. Here you will be presented with two tasks from which you select one and work on it in a 15-minute preparation time. You will then be tested in a 20-minute interview. The trained specialist lecturers support you on your way to a successful professional qualification, so that you can expect optimal preparation in order to appear confident in the final examination.
